Why a Swedish cake for Christmas?
Kladdkaka is a traditional Swedish chocolate cake made during the christmas period.
Before I go any further, I have to come out clean: I do not like chocolate. I don’t hate chocolate, I just don’t care about it. Who was it who said that I would take hatred over indifference? If you hate something or someone, you are paying it attention but indifference means that you don’t care whether something exists or not. That’s how I feel about chocolate: the finest chocolate can sit in my house for years and I wouldn’t eat it. And I am someone who has a very strong sweet tooth. So that should tell you something about my indifference towards chocolate. And I like brownies even less. I am sorry, I am not doing a very good job of selling this cake to you. Sorry!
So given my indifference towards chocolate if I say that a chocolate cake is good, especially the one which has the texture of a brownie, it means that it’s really, really good.
This recipe for making chocolate cake uses five ingredients and it takes less 30 minutes to bake! It’s soft and gooey on the inside and lovely texture on the outside and it melts in your mouth.
Go on, give it a try.
