How to Make Besan Seera

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp besan brown chickpea flour
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2-3 tbsp ghee at room temperature
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder coarsely ground

Instructions

  • Set a woke on low heat and add ghee.
  • Once the ghee has melted, add besan.
  • Continuously stir the besan so that it doesn't burn. Cook until the besan turn reddish.
  • Mix in the turmeric powder and cook for 2-3 seconds.
  • Add 1/2 cup of milk and mix in well. At this point, you want to make sure to stir so that the besan does not form any solids.
  • Add the rest of milk and sugar and turn the heat to high. Keep stiring and bring the milk to boil.
  • Turn the heat off and garnish with black pepper powder
  • Serve it hot.
